Pharaons 2006: The Hungarian Flex-MAN Team in Stage 4.

The Flex Dakar Team will remain the fourth day of Pharao rally, but lets see it later. The team have completed the two selective stages on Friday without any problem, however almost become to wrong action. During the race is possible to refuel the vehicle what the motorbikes use because of small capacity of fuel tank. This situation is different for truck because they can carry just like 1000 litres gasoline in the two fuel tank located in both side of truck.

There is a connection between the secondary and the primary fuel tank thanks to the pump system but this pump went wrong on stage second special stage. The fuel just was less and less and the had to worry that the fuel will not enough to reach the finish. For these cases there is a manual pump system behind the rollcage but this means some time lost. The team took a hazard and they won it because they could finish the stage without stop and finished on fourth place. Attila has repaired the pump error at the service area and they hope this error will not repeat again. And now go back to the first sentence why this day was so special for Balazs, Attila and Akos. At the briefing they got 2 bottle of champagne from the race main organizer Jacky Ickx because of efficient team results. Congratulation!

The team has - jumped again ahead one place - finished on place 18th in overall and waiting the next stage from place 4th in their category.

Balazs Szobi: "From the two selective stages the first was fast which was described by 75 km/h average speed. The second stage was very hard thanks to the tortuous track, but the MAN truck passed the test. The wheelway system is a helpful thing because you can change the pressure in the tyres on the way for 4 different options close to current ground."
