UAE Desert Challenge: Top Ten Cars reached the finish of Leg 2.

The first cars reached the finish of today´s second stage of the UAE Desert Challenge. The French Mitsubishi-Pilot Luc Alphand made the day in front of his teammate Stephane Peterhansel in his new Pajero/Montero Evolution MPR13 and the French Jean-Louis Schlesser in his Ford-Buggy.
Last day´s winner Carlos Sainz (Volkswagen Race Touareg) seems to have problems today, at 11:30 CET he did not passed the CP4, also the Brasilian BMW X-Raid Pilot Paulo Nobre in his BMW X5CC. The German team Andrea Mayer/Joerg Sand with its French Aixam Mega - a historical Dakar-Car - had a rollover after CP2 and are waiting for the service, FIA Marathonrally Worldcup Winner Sergej Shmakov did´nt start today.
The second and third Volkswagen Race Touareg crossed the finish line on position 4 (Carlos Sousa) and 5 (Ari Vatanen), followed by Jutta Kleinschmidt in her X-Raid BMW X3CC, her spanish teammate Jose-Luis Monterde (X5CC) and the South-African Marc Corbett (Nissan Navara). The Qatari Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah, yesterday on third position, lost time today and finished as 9th in front of the Dubaian Bin Suqat Amad in his Chevrolet.
